The cost of a private driver in India depends on four things: the type of car, the number of days, the total distance, and the season. A day rate typically covers the car with an English-speaking driver, fuel, tolls, parking and the driver's allowance — while hotels, meals and monument tickets are usually quoted separately so you stay in control of your budget.
Four factors decide your final quote.
A sedan for two costs less than an SUV, a premium Innova Crysta, or a Tempo Traveller for a group.
Longer trips usually mean better per-day value; one driver for the whole trip beats separate city cars.
More kilometres (Rajasthan's long legs) means more fuel and driver time than a compact city tour.
Peak season (Oct–Mar) is busier; shoulder months can be more flexible on price.
