Comfortable, unhurried travel

India Tours for Senior Travellers

India is very enjoyable for senior travellers when the pace and the transport are right. With a private driver you get door-to-door transfers, a comfortable car, short driving days, rest stops whenever you want them, and a patient English-speaking driver who helps at every stop — no long walks from a coach park and no group timetable to keep up with.

How we make travel comfortable

The things that make the difference on the ground.

Dropped at the entrance

Your driver takes you as close to each monument entrance as vehicles are allowed — no long walks from distant car parks.

Comfortable, well-kept cars

Air-conditioned, clean and maintained, with easy-access options for anyone who finds a high step difficult.

Short driving days

We plan gentler routes with fewer hours on the road and proper breaks, rather than cramming in distance.

Help at every stop

Your driver assists with bags, doors and directions, and can arrange wheelchair access or a guide where available.

Rest whenever you like

Stop for tea, take a longer lunch, or return to the hotel early. The day belongs to you, not a group.

Careful planning

Tell us about mobility or dietary needs when you enquire and we will build the itinerary around them.

Frequently asked questions

What guests ask us most before booking.

Is India suitable for elderly travellers?

Yes, provided the pace is right. With a private driver you avoid crowded public transport and long walks, travel door to door, and can rest whenever you need. We regularly plan trips for guests in their seventies and eighties.

Can you arrange wheelchair access?

Many major monuments have wheelchair access and we can arrange a wheelchair at several sites with advance notice. Tell us your requirements when you enquire and we will confirm what is possible on your route.

How many hours a day will we be driving?

For senior guests we usually plan shorter legs with regular breaks rather than long single drives, and we will happily add an extra night somewhere to shorten a difficult day.

Can you accommodate dietary or medical needs?

Yes. Let us know about dietary requirements, medication schedules or anything else in advance, and we will factor it into the daily plan and the choice of stops.

Which route do you recommend for older travellers?

The Golden Triangle spread over five or six days is a gentle, rewarding introduction. Rajasthan is also very doable with an extra night or two built in to keep driving days short.
